Nikola is bored, a fact he finds patently unfair as it's his birthday, and for once he's not holed up in an abandoned manor somewhere with no one but unintelligent, undead minions for company.

He thinks there should be cake, at the very least, so he's wandered down to the kitchen in an attempt to either scrounge some up or make one himself.

Probably someone should intervene before the Big Guy finds him snooping around the kitchen.

"Yeah, he looked like he was having some trouble with the current one when I saw him earlier." Will frowns, then smiles. "Henry's been talking about Iron Man a lot, so I look forward to seeing the new design..."

Nikola smiles. "Mmm...yes, well if we give him something a little easier to maneuver, maybe you can finally convince him to fuck you. Check him off your top ten list."

"Oh, please," Nikola says, rolling his eyes. "You'd be on your back with your legs in the air in a heartbeat if he asked."

"I never denied that, but I'm more interested in his mind. Seriously, I could learn a lot from a guy whose brain works like that..."

"Men who say they're more interested in someone's mind are either liars or virgins," Nikola remarks. "Which one are you?"

"Uh, line between theory and practice? I'm not a virgin, but..." He shrugs. "Why do you even care?"

"I don't," Nikola says. "But it's still going to be a while before that cake is going to be cool enough to put cream on, so I thought I'd make a little conversation."

"Well, conversation's always good, but my love-life is just a depressing topic. Why don't we talk about you for awhile?"

"Yeah, except when they're the guys who have more than seventy-five percent of their girlfriends break up with them after they spend the night the first time. Can we talk about something else now?"

Nikola grins, pleased. "Oh, of course. We can talk about whatever you like."

"Thank you, Nikola. Why don't you tell me about some of your inventions? You know, the ones that didn't make it into the history books," he clarifies with a hopeful grin.

"I thought you didn't want to talk about sex," Nikola says, smirking.

Will sniggers. "I was thinking more along the lines of the earthquake machine, the death ray, the wireless electricity, things like that..."

"Sounds as though you know about them already. What's to talk about?"

"Did they really work and, if so, why isn't your face on Mount Rushmore?"

"Of course, they worked," Nikola says. "But there was that whole 'fake my own death' business. Hard to get around that."

"At that point, is it even necessary to fake your own death?"

"Well, I hardly had the funds to put them into use on any sort of grand scale, did I?"

"Hell, if it had been me, I'd have worked something out with the Soviets or the Americans. You know, for that matter, if you could come up with a way to free the US of its reliance on OPEC, I'll be happy to write my congressman about getting the constitution amended so you can run for president..."

Nikola looks slightly offended. "I would never have done such a thing. If anything, I'd have sold the plans to both sides in the hopes they would share."
