Nikola is getting rusty.

But he has a good enough memory that despite the fact that it's been a good twenty years since he sat down at a piano, he's doing a fairly decent job of making his way through Au Claire de la Lune.

He doesn't play well, but he plays with great expression.

Raya looks surprised, and raises an eyebrow. "Yet?"

"I've learned never to underestimate the human capacity for stupidity."

"I'm not human, I don't have the same capacity," she laughs.

[ps_you_look_hot]

"True," Nikola agrees. "Your capacity could be much greater."

[x_coriare]

"Smartass," she chuckles. "But you have a point, unlikely as fulfilling that possibility may be. Though as you're not human either, wouldn't yours be the same?"

[ps_you_look_hot]

"No. I'm fully aware of my potential for stupidity, and it's nowhere near human levels."

[x_coriare]

"Meaning it's that much lower or higher?" Raya finds the conversations amusing, with Nikola. At least they're different.

"Far, far lower. I'd have to really work to be that stupid."

[x_coriare]

"Enlightening," she says, still idly swinging her legs. "Did you ever actually get those jeans?"

[ps_you_look_hot]

He laughs. "I did. I'm just waiting for an occasion to bring them out on."

[x_coriare]

"There needs to be an occasion?" she asks, laughing. "They're only jeans. Most people wear them every day, and in that I'd think you're a little more like the rest of the world."

[ps_you_look_hot]

"My wearing them would be an occasion of itself. I don't want it to be on a day when all I do is putter around the labs."

"So what would you do in them?"

[ps_you_look_hot]

Nikola thinks for a moment. "I'm not sure. I've never worn them."

[x_coriare]

Raya laughs lightly, shaking her head as she slides down and leans her arms on one side of the piano. "I'd suggest going out and having fun, but I realize I don't know what it is you do for pure entertainment."

And yes, that's an invitation.

Nikola smirks wickedly. "You could always take me out and show me what you do for fun."

Raya smirks back. "I could." She looks down to check her watch, and thinks for a moment.

"Feel like going out tonight?"

[ps_you_look_hot]

Nikola grins. "I think I could be persuaded."

[x_coriare]

She laughs and gives a little half-expectant, half-curious look. "And what would it take to persuade you?"

[ps_you_look_hot]

He considers this for a moment, just looking at her. "From you, my dear? Just a kiss."

"Just that?"

That's almost too easy. She leans down to tilt his chin up and gives Nikola an almost gentle kiss, full on the lips. She could have called him on not specifying where, and simply placed one on his cheek, but...Raya's been feeling playful of late.

"Well...for now," Nikola murmurs, accepting the kiss graciously. "Do I get to know where we're going, or is it a surprise?"

"Oh, I'd think you could know. There will be other surprises, I'm sure," she murmurs back, straightening up. "There's a club not very far that has an interestingly lax dress code. I sort of like it," she says.

"Nothing really gets started until ten or eleven, so...meet you at the door in twenty?" This, Raya thinks, this could definitely be interesting.

Nikola smirks. 'Interestingly lax' could mean oh, so many things.

"I'll be there."

It really could, and that is the beauty of the situation.

"Oh, good."

Twenty minutes later, she is, true to her word, at the door, in a coat and heels; the heels because she likes them and the coat because it's both a little chilly and the outfit she's actually wearing has this tendency to make people stare rather much. "
