OFA: In the library

Nikola is getting rusty.

But he has a good enough memory that despite the fact that it's been a good twenty years since he sat down at a piano, he's doing a fairly decent job of making his way through Au Claire de la Lune.

He doesn't play well, but he plays with great expression.

He shrugs, seemingly unconcerned at the implication. "I certainly didn't."

She shrugs back gracefully, and the corset shows a little stripe of skin between the bottom edge and the top of her skirt band. Given how much skin she's already showing, it isn't really outlandish, but has the ability to be...attention-catching, given it's location.

"Patience is a virtue," she says lightly. "Even without a bet you might get what you want."

"Promises, promises," Nikola mutters as they reach the club.

"Oh, I haven't promised a thing yet," she smirks. "But I have some ideas."

But he doesn't intend to let him get anything out of her--or into, as the case may be--that easy.

"And I suppose you're keeping those ideas to yourself?"

[x_coriare]

"Feel free to ask," she says with a sweet smile, not really answering the question. "You never know what answers you'll get," she murmurs, giving the same smile to the occupants of the club as she enters.

Nikola keeps a hand on the small of her back as they enter the club, not quite a mark of ownership, but something approaching those lines.

"Teasing again. That's a very bad habit of yours."

The hand on her back isn't precisely warm or cool, but the weight against her clothes is definitely noticeable, because it isn't at all like the slight brush and caress of any other passerby.

"Something's telling me you like it more than you let on. But if it really bothers you that much I'll make it up to you."

"Please do," Nikola says, leaning close to be heard over the noise of the club. "I'd like to see what you think will make it up."

The chilled shiver up her spine is completely involuntary; not completely unpleasant, but then nothing Nikola has ever done to her has been that.

"I just bet," she murmurs. "The same thing we did last time?"

"But we've already done that. Be a little more creative, my dear." He leads her up to the bar.

"Can I get you a drink?"

She pretends to consider that; she's never had a drink here, or anyplace else, but it can't hurt that much. "Alright. A goodnight kiss, then," she says.

She has been to bars before, and listened to the others order.

Nikola nods and orders it for her, along with a scotch for himself.

She accepts the flute glass with a smile and takes a sip, enjoying the bitterness, and sugar. How interesting.

"I might take your suggestion."

[ps_you_look_hot]

"Which suggestion was that?" He takes a sip of his scotch and wrinkles his nose at the taste.

[x_coriare]

"You know which I mean," she says, watching him with a raised eyebrow, and at the wrinkled nose holds out the flute in her hand.

"That bad?"

[ps_you_look_hot]

"Oh, do I?" He smirks and sets his glass down.

"This isn't the sort of place people come to enjoy a fine alcohol."

"Mmm, you do," she confirms. "It's the sort of place people come to enjoy each other."

She nods out to the floor. "In a lot of different ways."

"I've noticed," Nikola says, leaning back on the bar and watching the dance floor, eyeing one or two of the dancers with clear interest.

She's doing the same, though with more of the men than women, though she's fairly sure whichever ones Nikola's watching are an even mix.

"Want to dance?"

Nikola takes one last drink from his scotch and sets it aside. "Why not? It's why we're here, isn't it?"

"Part of it, anyway," she says with a smile, nodding her head to the music that's switched over, into something with a stronger backbone.

"What sort do you know?"

[ps_you_look_hot]

"All the classical styles, of course," Nikola says, taking her hand to lead her to the dance floor. "And I've picked up a little of this sort of thing," he nods to the dancers, "over the years."

She chuckles. "Of course. I'm still learning the classical ones," she says. "

"Perhaps next time, I'll take you salsa dancing."
