OFA: In the library

Nikola is getting rusty.

But he has a good enough memory that despite the fact that it's been a good twenty years since he sat down at a piano, he's doing a fairly decent job of making his way through Au Claire de la Lune.

He doesn't play well, but he plays with great expression.

"You haven't asked me to," Nikola says, but he steers her off the dance floor anyway.

"Didn't say you needed to," she murmurs over one shoulder. "Just that you haven't." She lets him lead her away, back to the door, and works on pulling her composure back together. Nikola is getting increasingly good at pulling it away.

In that case, Nikola will keep a hand at her waist all the way out of the club and back to the car.

"You can get girls into such trouble with that," she breathes.

[ps_you_look_hot]

"Can and have," Nikola murmurs, opening the car door for her.

She shakes her head, managing a smile that's equal parts amusement and complete loss of control over this situation. As if that hadn't happened when she agrees to get into a car with Nikola.

Well tonight was turning all kinds of interesting she really hadn't anticipated. "And are," she says softly. Tense is everything.

Nikola grins as he gets into the driver's side. "Oh, I wouldn't say I'm getting you into trouble. Not yet."

"Oh, wouldn't you?"

She can't help the grin back at that. "What would you call what you're doing, then?"

He considers for a moment. "Leading you down a very interesting path."

Raya has to think about the implications of that for a moment and bites her tongue lightly.

"Well now you've made me curious."

[ps_you_look_hot]

"I'm good at that," Nikola says, smiling over at her as he starts the car.

[x_coriare]

"I know," she says, listening for the little click again. She's going to have to figure out how this works.

[ps_you_look_hot]

Nikola would be more than happy to explain, though he's a little conflicted on the subject since the electric engine replaced the internal combustion one that he was so influential in bringing about.

At the moment, though, he's perfectly content to speed off down the road back toward the Sanctuary.

Raya just listens, to the noises she doesn't normally hear when she's riding with someone. "Tell me something. How do you handle watching the world go by?"

"I don't give it much thought. The world turns, and I turn with it."

[x_coriare]

She looks over with a half smile. "Just like Logan," she murmurs, more to herself than him.

"Why do you want me in bed with you?"

[ps_you_look_hot]

"Does it matter?"

[x_coriare]

"No, but I'm curious," she says lightly. "Your answer won't change what I've decided."

[ps_you_look_hot]

He shrugs. "You're beautiful and inexperienced. Two things I find myself attracted to."

[x_coriare]

She curves up a smile; natural response to being complimented. "I was only curious. I find myself attracted to you, but I don't know why," Raya says softly, spotting the gates of the Sanctuary.

[ps_you_look_hot]

Nikola pulls into the drive with a smile. "Perhaps it's part of my mystique."

[x_coriare]

"Oh, I have no doubt about that," she says, turning toward him curiously. "Your room this time?"

[ps_you_look_hot]

"Why not?" He parks the car and gets out, coming around to her door to open it for her.

[x_coriare]

She waits; since there isn't a door handle on the exterior she can see, she wants to see how he manages to open it.

"Thank you."

[ps_you_look_hot]

The handle is behind the seat, making it difficult to see from inside. He opens the door and offers her his hand.
