OFA: In the library

Nikola is getting rusty.

But he has a good enough memory that despite the fact that it's been a good twenty years since he sat down at a piano, he's doing a fairly decent job of making his way through Au Claire de la Lune.

He doesn't play well, but he plays with great expression.

Her head quirks to the side. "Please, Nikola. You look no more than thirty."

"Well, then. That certainly explains the lack of a Mrs. Tesla now doesn't it?" She smirks.

He smirks right back. "As well as it explains the lack of a Mr. Magnus, I suppose."

Helen glances away before looking back at him. "We both know there was almost a Mrs. Druitt."

"But it was long enough ago that you can blame it on the foolishness of youth," Nikola says, looking steadily at her.
