OFA: Mistletoe gets *everywhere*

Nikola may not be as observant as James is, but he's by no means oblivious.

That said, he is kind of enthralled by this whole zombie project (that he's continued working on despite his argument with Owen. Damn it for being so fascinating). As such, he's completely failed to notice the sprig of mistletoe the Big Guy managed to put up in his lab.

When he finds out the creep in the room with the hair has been poking about in his lab, he'll probably be irate, but in the meantime...this could be fun?

"You're bent over something with your back to the door, I'm going to assume you're working on something."

She takes a seat, and carefully folds her legs up to her chest.

"You also assume that something is a side project? It could be something for Helen."

"Is it?"

Conversation that has nothing to do with her is good.

[ps_you_look_hot]

"Did I not just say it was a side project? Isn't that how we got into this tedious conversation in the first place?"

"Well then, let's switch the topic. What is your side project?"

[ps_you_look_hot]

"If I were likely to tell you that, I'd have done so already."

[x_coriare]

"Fair enough."

Raya's content to sit somewhere other people aren't going to come up and ask her how she's doing or if she's excited about the holidays. Right here is great for that, she thinks, wrapping her arms around her knees.

"Do you mind if I watch you work?"

"Not so long as you don't bother me."

She moves close enough to see what he's doing, but doesn't say anything further for a long while.

She only smiles at the mistletoe he seems to be standing under.

Nikola is completely buried in his work, but eventually he has to move to get a piece of equipment from behind him. When he does he notices her smiling.

"What?"

Raya laughs lightly, and points up above him. She's a few feet out from underneath any of it, by careful observation of vacant spots.

"Look what you're standing under."

Nikola glances up. "Christ," he mutters, rolling his eyes.

Raya just chuckles. "Apparently someone thought you needed it."

[ps_you_look_hot]

Nikola arches an eyebrow, leaning back with his arms spread. "Well? Are you going to take advantage of it or not?"

She gives him a considering look before standing up and coming close enough that kissing him is very possible. "I might."

Raya does, though, and presses a not entirely chaste kiss to his lips.

Nikola returns the kiss in the spirit it was given, his hands resting briefly on Raya's hips.

Raya takes hold of his hands and pulls back just enough to speak. "If you want to go much further than this I think we'd need something other than mistletoe."

Nikola smirks. "And who says I do?"

[x_coriare]

She smirks back. "Are you turning me down?"

[ps_you_look_hot]

He arches an eyebrow. "I haven't decided yet."

[x_coriare]

"Oh?" She raises a brow to mirror his questioning expression, but has yet to move away.

[ps_you_look_hot]

"As I recall, our last encounter didn't go well for you. Are you so sure you want a repeat?"

[x_coriare]

"Why do you think it didn't end well? It was just sex."

[ps_you_look_hot]

"Did you enjoy it?"

[x_coriare]

Her first thought is to ask how that matters to him, since she's fairly sure it really doesn't. "For the most part, yes."
