OFA: Mistletoe gets *everywhere*

Nikola may not be as observant as James is, but he's by no means oblivious.

That said, he is kind of enthralled by this whole zombie project (that he's continued working on despite his argument with Owen. Damn it for being so fascinating). As such, he's completely failed to notice the sprig of mistletoe the Big Guy managed to put up in his lab.

When he finds out the creep in the room with the hair has been poking about in his lab, he'll probably be irate, but in the meantime...this could be fun?

The look makes him shiver. "Watson?" Will quips with a teasing look. "Henry? Raya or the lovely Agent Scully, though neither of them will be drinking. There's something to be said for group influence."

Nikola's right, this is much more fun than Will's office.

Nikola leans back against his work surface, smirking slightly. "Any of those would be preferable, yes."

Or Will. Which he doesn't say, but which the look on his face probably does a good job of pointing out anyway.

"Can't say I can picture you or Magnus--" Though, he has a distinct advantage when it comes to the imagination of Nikola. "I don't sing that well when I'm drunk."

"You could pass on the singing," Nikola says. "Drunken nakedness is more than fine."

"You haven't had enough of that?" Will jokes at his own expense. "Frquently one does lead to the other."

"I think I could still have a little more," Nikola teases.

Flattered, Will blushes a little. He walks closer to Nikola and wonders how big a radius mistletoe has. "You're sure human hasn't bored you?"

Nikola smirks. "If it hasn't happened in the last 150 years, I doubt you'll be the one to finally push me into boredom."

Again, strangely complimentary. "Good to know," Will quips back, circling closer. "How's your work?"

"Slow going and only just interesting enough to keep me going," Nikola says.

Which is only half the truth, really. The implications in the project are astounding and might help him with his own ambitions.

"Suppose something has to keep you out of trouble," Will jokes. Still smiling, he moves closer. "Going to have any luck for Doctor Harper?" If anyone was going to solve it, it really might be him.

"That remains to be seen," Nikola says dryly.

He's doing well on the research side of things, but he really doesn't want to admit to Owen that he's still working on it until Owen comes groveling back to him.

"I know he's," Will sighs and scratches the back of his head, "difficult. Seems like everyone is around here."

"You're difficult," Nikola says with a frown. "Zombie boy is downright impossible."

Will chuckles, slightly amused. "Better than being easy, I suppose." Though sometimes he worries, he still was that.

Nikola smirks. "There are varying degrees of 'easy'."

He'd argue Will was definitely not.

"Tic-tac-toe, crossword, Fermat's last theorem?" Will jokes, touching Nikola's shoulder as he takes the last step to stand next to him. Nikola's probably not the ideal person to ask, but he's curious. "How do you juggle two possibilities?"

Nikola looks at him curiously, turning his stool to face Will. "That kind of depends on the possibilities."
