Nikola is getting rusty.

But he has a good enough memory that despite the fact that it's been a good twenty years since he sat down at a piano, he's doing a fairly decent job of making his way through Au Claire de la Lune.

He doesn't play well, but he plays with great expression.

Nikola snorts quietly. "I really don't think you can beat vampires who sparkle."

Ashley nods. "When they revolution comes, twilight fans are first against the wall?"

"No, they'll just be the first to be given a demonstration of what real vampires are like."

It's...difficult to tell whether or not he's joking.

Ashley's not sure if he's joking but they are in agreement on this fact at least. tweens and their "teams" are beginning to piss her off.

"Fair enough. SO what's with the pigeons?"

Ashley rolls her eyes. "So I guess that vegetarianism thing didn't work out then, huh?"

Nikola just looks at her for a moment, his fingers stilling on the keys. "What is this? Your one and only chance to ask Nikola Tesla everything you've ever wanted to know?"

Ashley slumps into a chair, with a smirk. "You caught me. I'm playing "How accurate is Wikipedia" today."

"There are several books written on the subject, if you're that interested." He smirks and starts playing again. "I'm sure your mother has one or two."

"Not really. The books had a lot to say about celibacy. And they totally missed the whole Vampire thing."

"Well, then. I suppose you'll have to keep wondering." He turns back to the piano and continues playing.
