OFA: In the library

Nikola is getting rusty.

But he has a good enough memory that despite the fact that it's been a good twenty years since he sat down at a piano, he's doing a fairly decent job of making his way through Au Claire de la Lune.

He doesn't play well, but he plays with great expression.

"There's quiet whether you're sleeping or not," Nikola points out.

"It's quiet in my head," Will says, and then stops. "That sounds a lot crazier than anything I should ever say."

Nikola smiles. "That doesn't actually sound crazy at all."

"Really?" Will rolls onto his side, surprised. "I kind of feel like it's a foolish thing. There's are so many things going on around me. When I sleep, it's quiet."

"I think you'd be hard-pressed to find someone around here whose brain ever stops turning without the aid of hard drugs or sleep."

"Occupational hazard of the genius set," he decides, then trails his hand along Nikola's chest. "Super-geniuses as well."

Nikola smirks and lays his hand over Will's. "We do share some similarities."

"I think I'll take that as a compliment." Will shifts his head on his pillow, grinning contently.

"As you should," Nikola says, smirking.

"Any time I'm compared to you but a poor example of a pathetic human," Will winks and moves his face closer. "I suppose I have to feel good about myself."

Nikola brings a hand up to trace cool fingers over Will's cheek. "You have a fair amount to feel good about, William."

"Thanks," Will murmurs, leaning close enough to kiss his cheek. "I do feel pretty good right now."

Nikola chuckles. "I should hope so. If you don't feel good after sex, I'm doing something seriously wrong."

"After over a century of practice, that's definitely not a problem," Will sighs and the hair on the back of his neck stands up at the memory.

Nikola chuckles. "And we've hardly done anything at all yet."

Will had forgotten that. He stares up at the ceiling, wondering, fairly naively, what would come next.

"I appreciate that you're taking your time with me."

"I find it's generally best not to frighten someone away the first time," Nikola says, trailing his fingers over Will's arm.

"What about the second?" Will asks coyly, wondering if he's earned that reward, and if he has, just want he'll do with it.

Nikola grins. "Well, you did rather well for your first time, so I suppose I'd try not to frighten you off again."

He's not a patient man in general, but he knows it pays off sometimes.

"I could try to be a little less difficult to scare."

Nikola smirks. "You could, but I think I still won't go all out just yet."

Not really sure what all out would involve, Will's thoughts flit through bloodsport and other things he's not wholly sure he can imagine correctly.

"Thanks," he sighs.

It's quite likely nearly all of those things would be involved in all out.

Nikola chuckles. "It's no hardship. I prefer my partners to be enjoying themselves.

"Nikola Tesla, egalitarian lover for the ages," Will smirks over at him.

Nikola chuckles. "Something like that, yes."

Mostly it's just that he likes to be good at anything he does, and being good in bed generally means ensuring your partner has a good time.
