[One for All] Nocturnal wanderings

The Sanctuary is a lovely place, really. Libraries and labs and gardens and excellent company.

But sometimes Nikola needs a little space. Or just to unwind for a bit.

So tonight, you'll find him sitting in a corner booth at a local bar, expensive scotch in hand, observing the room.

Taking each step with a powerful stride, Leo is completely oblivious that he is being admired.

Joining Nick at the bar, his arms flex as he reached behind the counter for a bottle of ouzo.

Nikola has always been drawn to power. His tongue slides out across his lips and that predatory gleam is back in his eyes.

"How long have you been in Old City, Leo?" he asks, sipping his scotch.

Taking a deep drink from the bottle, Leo thinks for a moment (again completely oblivious to Nikola's predatory manner), "Couple of weeks or so."

"And how do you like it so far?" Nikola asks, deciding quickly that either Leo can really hold his liquor or he's about to lose his job.

Completely unaffected- despite the fact that he has just swallowed a quarter of a bottle of alcohol in a matter of seconds; Leo shrugs.

"It's nice, but if you're from LA like me, you tend to miss all the crazy parades and such."

Nikola chuckles. "Wait until the summer solstice. You haven't seen anything until you've seen the naked cyclists."

Leo snorts, he saw far worse back in the day.
He grimaces suddenly, "Hope nobody wrecks."

"People tend to stay out of their way," Nikola says, smirking.

"I'd hope so, or the local media could have one seriously messed weekly up news story their hands," replies Leo with a deeply disturbed look on his face.

"It helps that it happens every year, so people know to expect them."

He takes a slow sip of his scotch and says, "You should join them next year."

"Ehem I'm not big on public nudity these days," replies Leo with a shifty glance and sip of his Ouzo.

Nikola smirks. "These days?"

shrugging Leo manages to come with an entirely convincing lie; "College fraternity, man."

Nikola's not entirely convinced. "What fraternity?"

"The Aegean universities sports fraternity,I got there after I took my general studies degree."

As an afterthought he taps his chest,"Got through on a Sports scholarship."

Yeah, he's definitely not buying that.

Except maybe the last part.

He gives Leo a slow once-over. "I bet you did."

Ignoring the look Leo replies in an attempt to convince Nick,"Hey man it was my year abroad, best decision I ever made."

"I'm not questioning that," Nikola says. "I'm sure you enjoyed yourself very much."

Satisfied, he smiles. "I used to ride my buddies horse on the weekends when I wasn't visiting with my Aunt and Uncles."

"You look like an equestrian. You've got a great seat," Nikola says in a way that could be entirely innocent or entirely not.

Shrugging, Leo replies. "Eh one of my favorite Aunts is a prize horse breeder, so it kind of came with the territory."

Nikola shakes his head and mutters into his scotch, "What is it with this city and oblivious men?"

Noting that Nick has resorted to talking into his drink Leo bends over the bar, "You want a refill man? Or do you want some of this?" He gestures to the bottle of Ouzo that is currently cradled within his large left hand.

"Somehow," he says with a sarcastic smile, "I don't think that's going to help."

"Led liver?" Leo asks with a cute dimple filled smile, that is anything but mocking.
