OFA: In the library

Nikola is getting rusty.

But he has a good enough memory that despite the fact that it's been a good twenty years since he sat down at a piano, he's doing a fairly decent job of making his way through Au Claire de la Lune.

He doesn't play well, but he plays with great expression.

Nikola arches an eyebrow at the closeness. "Sometimes two or three people at a time."

He smirks, clearly amused. "No."

"Obviously I should have gone to Oxford." Will could cut himself on Tesla's teeth. If he wanted to.

"Well, the English nobility do throw the best parties."

"Leave any marks on anyone I'd know?" Would he leave marks in bed? Does he want them? How would he explain a set of teeth marks to Magnus?

"Well, there was a rather interesting night with Lord Alfred Douglas once," Nikola says, grinning.

"That alters my opinion of him a little," Will smiles back. "Though, I can't say I'm surprised."

"He tried to get Oscar to join us, but Oscar was always a little on the jealous side."

"I'd be jealous of you," Will says without thinking. He seems to do that a lot around Tesla. He even blushes a bit. "I mean, I can empathize with Oscar."

Nikola smirks. He really does like getting that blush to rise in Will's cheeks. "Of me, or of Bosie?"

Biting his lip doesn't stop him from talking. "I've never seen Bosie close enough to know."

He suspects he wouldn't feel the same current between himself and Bosie, though it could just be Tesla's powers. Will's not sure what he'd do if it wasn't."

Nikola laughs, and his fingers trail lightly over the keys in response. "If you're not careful, William, you'll give me the entirely wrong impression."

"Right," Will stuffs his hands into his pockets. "Thought you were difficult to impress."

"Impressing me is another matter all together. You've got a ways to go on that one yet."

He's oddly comforted by that. Feeling insignificant is nice, in a way. Maybe he just wants to be pushed around.

"Maybe I've just been going about this the wrong way."

Nikola gives him a wry smile. "You're welcome to try another way, of course."

He sits down next to him on the piano bench, hands still in his pockets. "What keeps you from feeding on people?" Will wonders. "The mess of cleaning up or some remnants of morality?"

"Is that meant to imply the rest of my morality has somehow gone missing?" Nikola asks, smirking.

Nikola smirks, amused. "I was raised with a very strong sense of morality, I'll have you know."

"How did you lose it then?" Will raises an eyebrow. He's from the immoral US, he's supposed to go bad.
