OFA: In the library

[ps_you_look_hot]

Nikola is getting rusty.

But he has a good enough memory that despite the fact that it's been a good twenty years since he sat down at a piano, he's doing a fairly decent job of making his way through Au Claire de la Lune.

He doesn't play well, but he plays with great expression.

Will grins and leans against the piano carefully. "Not yet," he repeats. "I suppose you have a better way."

"Of harnessing lightning, perhaps. Bottling it renders it rather impotent."

"That's not a word I associate with you," Will teases, wondering both how far he can go and why he's not stopping. "And it sounds like a waste of lightning."

Nikola grins, wide and toothy. "And you'd know this how?"

"Intuition," Will insists, trying not to stare at Tesla's teeth. Or his lips. Or any part of him. "Or reputation."

"Reputations are all well and good, but there's nothing like first hand experience."

"Kinda fucked that up, didn't I?" Will's only half joking. He was an ass and he's not really sure how to deal with it.

"Not that particular part, no," Nikola says, smirking. "I'd still be glad to fuck you."

"That hardly makes me unique," Will retorts. Not that he needs or even wants to be.

"I've never made any secret of that." Even when there was a brief attempt at a relationship, he'd made that perfectly clear.

"True," Will quirks his head thoughtfully. It would be a fascinating experience, even if he didn't fully understand why he is so intrigued. Maybe he's just not sure if he could look at himself in the morning. He's never been good at one night stands.

"It's not a freedom I'm used to."
